Coldplay’s Chris Martin offered fire safety training after cooking blunders
After his actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow revealed his cooking blunders on a national TV show, Coldplay singer Chris Martin has reportedly been offered fire safety lessons by fire officials in London.
Paltrow recently appeared on an episode of the cooking show Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club, during which she said of her musician husband:
“He has twice cooked a meal and this is not a joke, both times the fire brigade came. I swear on my life – both times.”
Following the broadcast, it has emerged that fire responders at the London Fire Brigade have offered Martin fire safety training at his home. Not knowing at least the basics of fire safety within health and safety training can potentially put lives at risk, particularly over Christmas when the combination of cooking and alcohol consumption causes more house fires than any other time of year.
Speaking to NME.com, fire safety executive Dave Brown said:
“People often think that fires only happen to vulnerable people but young professionals have a quarter of all house fires in London.
“Three out of five house fires start in the kitchen so at this time of year with the family coming round from Christmas dinner it is important to follow our advice.”
