First Aid Training Explained (Pt.2)
The Emergency First Aid at Work training will equip your appointed person with the skills needed to manage an emergency; however, if you want to ensure that you can protect your employees, First Aid at Work training covers not just emergency situations but also common injuries and illnesses.
Once your employee has successfully completed first aid training and has obtained the qualification, they will be able to act as a first aider for three years, although it is generally recommended that first-aiders undertake an annual refresher course.
Depending on the individual needs of your business, you may also decide to provide some more specific forms of first-aid training:
- Paediatric First Aid Courses are ideal for those working with children as they deal with injuries and illnesses common in childhood. They will also provide professionals with an understanding of how to manage illness or injury in children.
- Automated External Defibrillation is essential in the event of a heart attack. With each minute that passes, the chances of survival dramatically decrease, and having a trained person and equipment on site can make all the difference.
