Plan your summer first aid cover now

This year is an exceptional one for the U.K. Not only will we be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June, but then Olympic fever will engulf us just a month later. This could mean that businesses will experience high demand for holiday leave during these periods.

If this is the case, it is important to ensure that your business will have adequate first aid cover during these periods. Accidents and illnesses can occur at any time, and first-aiders need to be able to react quickly and decisively if they are to reduce the risk to their colleagues.

Plan for the period well ahead, making sure that you have sufficient numbers of first aiders available over the summer months. If you find that cover is patchy or insufficient, it may be a good time to book some first aid training and increase your numbers of qualified first aiders.

First aid training can be delivered on-site to groups of various sizes and can be adapted to individual business’ circumstances. It will equip employees with the knowledge and skills they need to be able to deal with an emergency with confidence and provide employers with peace of mind.
