Rutherglen town hall cafe praised for food safety standards
A cafe situated in Rutherglen Town Hall in South Lanarkshire has been commended by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) for its excellent food hygiene standards.
The cafe was inspected by South Lanarkshire Council’s environmental health team on a routine visit and impressed inspectors so much with its dedication to food safety and hygiene that they recommended it for an award. Accordingly, the Rutherglen Town Hall cafe was presented with the FSA’s Eat Safe food hygiene award. The award is given to commercial kitchens in recognition of high standards in safety and hygiene.
Speaking of the honour of receiving such an award, the Town Hallss venue manager Colin McWilliams said:
Food hygiene has always been our number one priority and to be recognised for excellent standards by South Lanarkshire Council is testament to the hard work and diligence that goes on behind the scenes every day.”
He also commended the cafe catering manager Pauline Docherty for managing the everyday running of the venue so well, as well as the cafe excellent staff who show so much dedication to food hygiene training and are so committed to upholding standards.
