This qualification replaced the QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare, which in turn replaced the NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare.

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare – Core Information

Course Length

While enrolled students are encouraged to learn at their own pace, the RQF Level 3 in Residential Childcare must be completed in 24 months, but can be finished sooner.

Entry Requirements

To enrol, students must be based in England and working in a relevant residential childcare role.

Delivery and Certification

Our assessment process is designed so that delegates are prepared for the challenges their occupation will involve. Delegates are appointed a vocationally trained Assessor who helps assemble the e-portfolio and guides them for the duration of the diploma. Email and telephone support is also provided throughout the RQF Level 3 programme and the resources available will be provided as needed. At the end of this program delegates will receive a qualification accredited by Highfield Qualifications.

To achieve this qualification, learners must gain a total of 61 credits by achieving all 16 mandatory units, totalling 53 credits, and a minimum of 3 optional units, granting a minimum of 8 extra credits.
