This course focuses on both care and managing to ensure that students to fulfil a managerial level role with an extensive understanding of the chosen pathway subject.
How long will this diploma take to complete?
Most students will successfully finish the programme in approximately 9-12 months, though we encourage students to learn at their own pace.
How is this training delivered?
Over the months, enrolled learners will put together an online portfolio of coursework for their appointed assessor, who helps to guide learners throughout their diploma.

Who needs this qualification?
This qualification is designed for those with existing employment in the health and social care sector as a deputy manager, or an equivalent role at this level.
What are the entry requirements?
The student will complete a selection of both mandatory and optional units, with each unit holding a different credit value. Students must gain a minimum total of 90 credits to be eligible to pass the course.
Where can I progress after this course?
This Level 5 diploma is the working equivalent of a foundation degree. Upon completing this programme, graduates have the option of moving on to a Level 7 strategic management diploma, or can undertake a range of other specialist courses that are also available with us at TutorCare.

Delivery and Certification
Our assessment process is designed so that delegates are prepared for the challenges their occupation will involve. Delegates are appointed a vocationally trained Assessor who helps assemble the e-portfolio and guides them for the duration of the diploma. Email and telephone support is also provided throughout the RQF Level 5 programme and the resources available will be provided as needed. At the end of this program delegates will receive an OFQUAL accredited qualification.

Learners will need to gain 90 credits to complete this RQF. 30 of these credits must come from the mandatory units and at least 16 from the optional units.

- MU5.2: Understand CYP Development.
- MU5.3: Lead Practice That Supports Positive Outcomes for CYP Development.
- MU5.4: Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures to Support the Safeguarding of CYP.
- P4: Lead and Manage Group Living for Children.
- LM1c: Lead and Manage a Team within a CYP Setting.
- LM2c: Develop Professional Supervision Practice in a CYP Settings.
- O36: Lead Practice in Promoting the Well-Being and Resilience of CYP.
- CCLD OP 5.25: Undertake a Research Project within Services for CYP.
