The equality act covers all workers within an organisation. This includes full-time employees, part-time workers, agency workers, applicants, and former employees. It ensures that people are protected from discrimination on the grounds of ethnicity, sex, gender reassignment, disability, religion and belief, age, and sexual orientation.
