Entry Requirements
To enrol, learners must be aged 19+ and currently working in, or have access to, a leadership, deputy, or management role within an appropriate early years setting in the UK.

Delivery and Certification
This qualification is completed through a combination of internal assessment and external quality assurance. Assessment methods include direct observation of practice, professional discussion, reflective accounts, expert witness testimonies, and a portfolio of evidence. Two units — EYE L5 SP 2 and EYE L5 SP 16 — require completion of an externally set and internally marked assessment task. A minimum of 300 hours of work placement experience is also required as part of the programme.
Upon successful completion, learners receive a lifetime qualification nationally recognised as a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE).
