About the Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Childcare (EYE)
Learners will be able to build on their experience working with children and gain new early years education skills with this qualification. The Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Childcare (Early Years Educator), prepares candidates to become Early Years Educators within the UK early years workforce. This qualification will provide learners with the knowledge and skills to work with children from birth to 5 years. In addition, candidates will understand the expected development of children aged 5 to 7 years. This qualification confirms competence and provides a ‘license to practice’ in many childcare related roles.
This qualification replaced the QCF Level 3 in Early Years Education and Childcare (EYE), which in turn replaced the NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Education and Childcare (EYE).

How long will this diploma take to complete?
The awarding body for this qualification stipulates that the diploma should be completed within 36 months, though most students will successfully finish the programme in approximately 12 months. We encourage students to learn at their own pace.
How is this training delivered?
Over the months, enrolled learners will put together an online portfolio of coursework for their appointed assessor, who helps to guide learners throughout their diploma.

Who needs this qualification?
This qualification is important to those who wish to work with children from birth to 5 years old. This could be to those who provide childcare for early years and social and health care workers that take care of children of those ages.
What are the entry requirements?
TutorCare is an equal opportunities provider and a potential participant only needs to be employed in a vocational setting relevant to the occupational standards for Health and Social Care for them to be able to complete this Level 3 qualification successfully. Age Ranges – learners must be aged 16 or over.
Where can I progress after this course?
This Level 3 diploma is the working equivalent of an A-Level qualification. Upon completing this programme, graduates have the option of moving on to a Level 5 leadership diploma or can undertake a range of other specialist courses that are also available with us at TutorCare.

Delivery and Certification
Our assessment process is designed so that delegates are prepared for the challenges their occupation will involve. Delegates are appointed a vocationally trained Assessor who helps assemble the e-portfolio and guides them for the duration of the diploma. Email and telephone support is also provided throughout the RQF Level 3 programme and the resources available will be provided as needed. At the end of this program delegates will receive an OFQUAL accredited qualification.

Outline of Course
To achieve this qualification the learners must gain a total of 65 credits:
- Achieve all 20 units.
- Gain experience in a real work environment.
- Achieve competence whilst working with young children from birth to 5 years.
- Take part in personal professional development activities.

- Unit 10: Understand modelling and promoting positive behaviour when working with young children
