About Our Sports First Aid Training Course
This sports-specific first aid course is ideal for coaches, personal trainers, PE teachers, physiotherapists and anybody involved in working with sports and fitness clubs. Participants will learn a variety of core sports first aid principles, from the provision of immediate treatment for common sports injuries to reducing the risk of long-term injuries for athletes and accurately assessing an individual’s ability to return to their sport following an injury.
Course Length
Our Sports First Aid training course is 6 hours long and delivered in a single day. Our courses are structured to allow breaks for learners to eat and rest.
Certificate Validity
Upon completion of this course, successful learners will receive a Sports First Aid certificate. This certificate is valid for 36 months (3 years) following course completion. Before expiry, you’ll need to re-enrol to receive a new certificate.
Delivery Methods
Our most popular form of training is held in-house, where we send a trainer out to your premises for a face-to-face session (for groups of up to 12).

What kinds of injuries does the course cover?
This sports first aid training will equip candidates with the knowledge and practical skills to deal with a wide range of injuries such as wounds and blood loss, bone, muscle and joint injuries, head trauma, breathing difficulties and much more. It looks at a range of environmental injuries such as exposure to extreme hot and cold and discusses how to assess and manage a casualty outdoors.
