About Stroke Awareness
Candidates will learn to identify the symptoms of a stroke and who is most at risk. Training also goes into types of rehabilitation for stroke sufferers and what to do if you recognise that somebody may be suffering from a stroke.
Course Length
Our Stroke Awareness training course is 2 hours long and completed in a half-day. Our courses are structured to allow breaks for learners to eat and rest.
Certificate Validity
The Stroke Awareness training certificate lasts 12 months (1 years). Before expiry, you’ll need to re-enrol to receive a new certificate.
Delivery
Our most popular form of training is held in-house, where we send a trainer out to your premises for a face-to-face session (for groups of up to 12). We also run the Stroke Awareness training course online. Ask about our webinar sessions.

FAST is an acronym used to help detect and enhance responsiveness to the needs of a person suffering a stroke. It stands for Facial drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulties and Time to call emergency services.
