About Health and Safety Awareness
This course will help learners understand health and safety laws. They will also know the impacts on the employer and employees. Candidates will learn how to do risk assessments and report accidents when they happen. Training is for those working in a supervisory or managerial role in the workplace.
Course Length
Our Health and Safety Awareness training course is 2 hours long and completed in a half-day. Our courses are structured to allow breaks for learners to eat and rest.
Certificate Validity
The Health and Safety Awareness training certificate lasts 12 months (1 year). Before expiry, you’ll need to re-enrol to receive a new certificate.
Delivery
Our most popular form of training is held in-house, where we send a trainer out to your premises for a face-to-face session (for groups of up to 12). We also run the Health and Safety Awareness training course online. Ask about our webinar sessions.

This course is available via an in-house group course for up to 12 delegates. The course looks in depth at the responsibilities of both the employer and employee in the workplace. It discusses the Health and Safety at work Act 1974 and current relevant legislation. Candidates will also learn the importance of risk assessments and how to report accidents should they happen.
Does this course cover COSHH and RIDDOR?
The course includes modules on COSHH and addresses RIDDOR but those that are regularly working with hazardous substances would be advised to also complete the COSSH awareness and RIDDOR specific courses.
