Yes. Learners will be trained in resuscitation techniques for infants and children under 12 alongside how to manage chronic medical conditions such as epilepsy, sickle cell and diabetes.

Delegates will gain a knowledge of children’s anatomy, appropriate first aid responses for common injuries such as cuts, burns and choking, and how to manage serious conditions and emergencies confidently and efficiently.

Paediatric First Aid differs from general first aid by focusing specifically on babies and children. It uses age-specific techniques for CPR and choking, and addresses conditions more common in younger individuals, like febrile convulsions. It also teaches participants how to assess children who may not be able to communicate effectively. Unlike general first aid, it’s often a legal requirement for those working in childcare.
