This course is the equivalent of an A-level qualification. It is aimed at those who already work in the care sector with a small amount of responsibility, sometimes working without supervision. When completed, the candidate will have the skills and knowledge to work with adults or children across all social care settings.

How long will the NVQ Level 3 diploma take to complete?

The awarding body for this qualification stipulates that the diploma should be completed within 36 months, though most students will successfully finish the programme in approximately 12 months. We encourage students to learn at their own pace.

Learners will need to gain 58 credits to complete this Level 3 NVQ in adult care. This is made from mandatory units worth a minimum of 28 credits, optional units worth 2-7 credits, and further optional units worth at least 23 credits.
